farmers and social media

How are you using social media?

I’m a bit obsessed with how farmers are using social media on their farms. My previous posts support my appetiteĀ for farmers and technology.

But, I want to take things a step further. Yes, I know farmers have used Facebook, Twitter and Google+ to amplify their message, but what about using those platforms for advice? Has social media changed the way you’ve done something? I want to know!

I’m also interested in hearing from those who’ve used crowd-funding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo. I’ve seen many small farmers using these websites to fund small projects around their property. It seems to be particularly popular in the urban farming community.

Let me know in the comments!

Will is Farm and Dairy's newest writer. He's recently moved to Lisbon, Ohio where he lives in a church turned community theater. He enjoys writing (of course), theater and hiking.
